The GI-19B is a high-power pulse generator triode for producing VHF oscillations in common-grid self-excited circuits. It operates with pulse anode modulation and is intended for equipment that requires short, high-power radio-frequency pulses rather than continuous audio-frequency amplification.

Construction and cooling
The tube has a metal-glass construction with large cylindrical electrode terminals. Its anode requires forced-air cooling with an airflow of at least 180 m³/h. The nominal heater supply is 7.3 V at 20 ± 3 A, while the specified pulse output is at least 230 kW for a 10 µs pulse and a minimum duty factor of 500.
Key operating data
GI-19B is a heavy industrial tube: its mass is approximately 2.8 kg. Installation must preserve the required airflow and the clearances specified for high-voltage pulse equipment. Before replacement, compare the full designation, terminal arrangement, cooling duct and operating mode with the equipment documentation.
Selection and pre-installation checks
The model marking and the condition of the glass-to-metal seals should be checked during incoming inspection. A visually similar generator tube is not a substitute unless the electrical ratings and mechanical interface are explicitly confirmed.
