6LK7I purpose
The tube converts electrical signals into a visible image on a phosphor screen. Its operating mode is set by the heater, acceleration, focusing and beam-deflection circuits of the host equipment.
Construction and operation
The tube uses electrostatic focusing and electromagnetic deflection. Its green screen is designed for high brightness in a projection optical path. A glass pumping stem allows operation at reduced atmospheric pressure when the corresponding sealed connection is used.
