16LO2I purpose
The 16LO2I is a dual-beam oscilloscope cathode-ray tube for simultaneous visual observation of two independent electrical processes. Separate electron-optical systems form the two traces, allowing signals to be compared on one flat rectangular screen without electronic beam switching.
Construction and operation
The tube has one post-acceleration stage, blue screen emission with green afterglow and a working area of at least 40 × 100 mm. Electrostatic deflection plates provide separate horizontal and vertical control for both beams. The glass envelope is fitted with a multi-pin base and side electrode connections.

Selection, installation and testing
A visually similar tube is not an approved substitute without a direct documentary reference. Inspect the screen, neck, leads and sealed joints before installation. Protect the glass envelope from impact and point loading; connect and test high-voltage circuits under the host-equipment procedure.
