16LM7I-2 purpose

The 16LM7I-2 is an indicator cathode-ray tube designed for television, symbolic and graphic display systems operating under high ambient illumination. The anti-glare screen glass distinguishes the -2 version and improves readability where reflections and external light would otherwise reduce contrast.

Construction and operation

Beam focusing is combined electrostatic and electromagnetic, while the screen emits green light. The working screen area is 88 × 109 mm. The glass envelope has flexible leads and an additional side connection; these construction details must be checked when selecting a replacement.

Selection, installation and testing
