14LM1N function
The tube operates with heater, acceleration, focusing and beam-deflection circuits. These circuits determine image brightness, position and shape. Connection and permitted operating modes must follow the documentation for the instrument in which the CRT is installed.
14LM1N uses electrostatic beam focusing and magnetic deflection. Its 100 × 60 mm working screen has yellow-green phosphor with at least three seconds of persistence, making the trace easier to observe after excitation.
Identification and selection
The complete 14LM1N designation remains the primary identifier. Screen shape and dimensions, focusing and deflection methods, heater data, anode voltages, lead arrangement and envelope dimensions must also match. A visually similar tube with another designation is not an approved substitute without documentary confirmation.
Installation and handling
Protect the glass envelope from impact, point loading and sudden temperature change. Inspect the screen, neck, leads and sealed joints before installation. Clean the glass without pressure and without damaging the marking. High-voltage circuits must be tested only under the procedure specified for the host equipment.
