BTT-30BT current transformer block
BTT-30BT is an aircraft current transformer block for differential current protection of a 30 kVA AC generator and its feeder during single-generator operation. The suffix “BT” is part of the designation and identifies a compact execution distinct from BTT-30B. The block provides the protection channel with a current-derived signal; it is not a voltage regulator or generator controller.

Operation in the generator-protection channel
The protection system compares phase-current information from the generator and feeder sides. When the balance departs from the permitted condition, the associated protection unit and switching apparatus isolate the faulty generator channel. BTT-30BT is therefore tested with the generator-side transformer block, protection electronics, feeder conductors and contactors rather than as an isolated passive spare.
Electrical and dimensional data
The retained technical record gives 83.5 A rated primary current at 208 V and 400 Hz. The average rectified output at the specified current is 3.3–4.4 V. Dimensions are 122 × 71 × 73 mm and mass is not more than 0.48 kg. These figures differ materially from BTT-30B and must remain tied to the complete BTT-30BT designation.
Documented Yak-42 application
Electrical-system descriptions for the Yak-42 place BTT-30BT in the central distribution-unit side of the generator channel, paired with a generator-side BTT-30GT. The same channel includes a 30 kVA GT30-series generator and associated voltage-regulation and protection equipment. Effectivity and exact companion-block suffixes must be checked against the aircraft modification.

Inspect the enclosure, terminals, mounting, insulation, sealing and full nameplate. Confirm the BT suffix, generator rating, protection layout and the companion transformer block.
