SM 28-10 (SM I5) is a miniature aircraft incandescent lamp rated for 28 V and 10 W. It is used as a replaceable light source in compatible cockpit, cabin, instrument or signalling equipment. Construction
The clear glass envelope contains a mechanically supported tungsten filament intended for vibration-prone transport equipment. The metal base fixes the lamp in its holder and provides the electrical connection. The compact construction allows installation in restricted lighting assemblies while keeping the filament in the designed optical position.
Electrical and dimensional data
This version uses the B15d/18, two contacts base and has reference dimensions of 37 mm × 20 mm. Published reference data lists a luminous flux of 80 lm. The stated operating life is 100 hours. These values help distinguish the lamp from visually similar SM versions.
Selection and compatibility
Order by the complete designation rather than voltage alone. Check rated power, base diameter, number of bottom contacts, side-pin arrangement and available installation space.
