ZBN-1-3 Series 2 in aircraft flight data recording systems

The ZBN-1-3 Series 2 is a protected onboard flight data recorder designed for recording and preservation of parametric flight information. It is used in aircraft and helicopter flight data recording systems where operating parameters must be stored during flight and preserved after an aviation incident. The recorder belongs to the magnetic-tape generation of flight data recorders and was used before solid-state protected recorders became standard in newer systems.

Flight parameter recording by ZBN-1-3 Series 2

The main function of the ZBN-1-3 Series 2 is to accumulate and store flight parameter data received from the onboard recording system. Replacement of ZBN-1-3 Series 2 by Series 3

According to supplied reference data, the ZBN-1-3 Series 2 can be replaced by the ZBN-1-3 Series 3 without modification of aircraft wiring. This is useful for maintenance and modernization planning, but the replacement still needs to be checked against the aircraft documentation, system version and required recorder configuration. The series of the recorder, connector compatibility, installation hardware and recording system approval should be confirmed before shipment or installation.

Returns & Changes (Restocking Fee)

Extended warranty is available upon request and is agreed individually; it may affect the final product price.
