aircraft air pressure gauge
Available on back-order
MVU-100K is a unified aircraft air pressure gauge used for visual pressure control in pneumatic systems of aircraft and helicopters. The instrument is designed for direct reading of air pressure on a cockpit or service panel scale. It is a mechanical indicating gauge, not an electronic pressure sensor. The unit is used where the crew or maintenance personnel need a clear pressure indication in onboard air circuits, including systems exposed to vibration, temperature changes and aircraft operating loads.
The gauge measures air pressure by deformation of an elastic tubular spring, commonly known as a Bourdon tube. When pressure enters the instrument, the spring changes shape and moves the pointer through the internal mechanism. This gives a direct analog reading on the dial. The design is suitable for aviation use because it does not require signal processing or external electrical measurement circuits. The instrument only indicates pressure and does not control valves, compressors or pneumatic consumers.
MVU-100K is used in general air and pneumatic systems of helicopters, including Mi-8 / Mi-17 family aircraft and Ka-32 configurations. In such systems, the gauge may be used for monitoring pressure in main or auxiliary pneumatic circuits, depending on the aircraft layout. The exact installation point must be checked in the aircraft documentation. Similar helicopters can use different pressure gauges depending on modification, cockpit panel arrangement and lighting requirements.
The “K” version is associated with cockpit readability under red lighting or temporary luminous composition used in night operation. This makes the scale suitable for cockpit use where standard lighting must not disturb night vision. The dial design is intended for fast visual reading by the crew, usually with a dark background and contrasting markings. When selecting a replacement unit, the lighting execution and scale design should be checked together with the pressure range and mounting arrangement.
Before ordering MVU-100K, the marking, pressure range, installation position and cockpit lighting version should be confirmed. It is also useful to check whether documents for stored stock, inspection or calibration are required. For correct selection, provide the aircraft type, system application, existing gauge marking and a photo of the dial and rear connection if available. The product is also known under alternative designations MVU-100K, MVU100K and МВУ-100К.
