Documented An-2 installation
Technical training material documents GSN-3000M on the Antonov An-2 with the ASh-62IR engine. The reviewed installation uses an R-25AM voltage regulator, DMR-400D minimum-differential relay, TS-9M-2 stabilizing transformer, SF-3000R interference-suppression filter and 12-A-30 battery. These units form an electrical channel; each has its own function and part number.
Nominal and short-time ratings
Nominal output is 28.5 V DC, 100 A and 3,000 W over a published 3,800–6,500 rpm generator-speed range. A short-time rating of 150 A and 4,500 W is recorded for not more than two minutes under the specified conditions. The right-hand rotation and approximately 2.17:1 engine-to-armature drive ratio apply to the documented An-2 installation and must be confirmed for the offered unit.
Construction, cooling and inspection
Forced airflow cools the generator during operation. Published reference data give a mass of approximately 12.3 kg and four EG-40A brushes. Incoming inspection should include the drive, bearings, collector, brushes, terminals, insulation, cooling passages and nameplate. Bench testing must use an approved procedure and the correct regulator and protection equipment.
Identification and compatibility
Order by the full GSN-3000M Series 2 marking and confirm the aircraft, engine, drive, rotation and electrical channel. A GSN-3000Zh or another 3 kW generator is not a substitute solely because voltage and power match.
