Mi-8 maintenance documentation lists GS-18TP among the permitted starter-generator types for the Mi-8 electrical system. Published equipment descriptions also identify GS-18TP starter-generators in the DC system of the Tu-22. These records confirm aviation use but do not establish that one execution, drive or connector arrangement is interchangeable across both aircraft families.
