Display mode, course and heading controls

The HSI, ARC and NAV keys select the supported display formats within the approved EFS installation. The CRS control is used for course-related selection, while the HDG control provides heading-reference input. Range-up and range-down keys change the displayed scale where the connected system supports that command. The 1-2 key is used for the installed dual-source arrangement defined by the aircraft wiring and EFIS configuration.

RALT, SYS and REF controls provide access to the associated reference or system functions available in the installation, and the TST control supports the approved test sequence. A key label does not prove that every function is enabled on every aircraft. The installed symbol generators, displays, sensors, software configuration and wiring determine which selections are available and how they are annunciated to the crew.

EFS 40/50 integration and signal path

A documented MD 900-series optional-equipment installation uses two CP 467 panels with EFS 50 displays, including ED 551A electronic displays and ED 102 inclinometer-equipped attitude display installations. This is a confirmed example of system use, not a universal aircraft applicability statement. Eligibility for another aircraft must be established from its approved equipment list, wiring diagrams and current installation data.
