ADF reception and bearing processing
The KDF 806 covers 190 to 1799 kHz in 1 kHz increments according to the installation manual. A jumper-selectable 2182 kHz marine emergency frequency is also documented. In ADF operation, the receiver processes signals supplied by a compatible loop-and-sense antenna system and produces bearing information for the cockpit indication chain. Received audio is routed through the aircraft audio installation.
The receiver manual describes DC sine/cosine or three-wire synchro indicator-output arrangements selected by installation configuration. It also provides lock and flag information.
