KXP 756 is a remote Class 1A, 4096-code transponder controlled by a compatible KFS 576 or KFS 576A. It receives interrogations at 1030 MHz and transmits replies at 1090 MHz. In normal service, correct operation also depends on the associated antennas, sensors, control heads, displays, power, grounding and wiring that belong to the approved aircraft installation. A fault indication at one component does not by itself prove that the component is the source of the system fault.

The equipment must be evaluated as part of its complete signal chain.
