The exact front panel carries dedicated MAP, WX, TRFC, TERR and AUX keys, together with range or cursor controls, line-select keys and card slots. These labels show the intended user-interface categories. They do not prove that every source or page is enabled in every aircraft; each function requires the corresponding approved equipment, wiring, software and current database where applicable.

The screen can consolidate information from several systems, reducing the need to interpret separate displays. These qualification and software references belong to the photographed -0101 unit and should not be transferred to a different KMD 540 suffix.

The same plate states 27.5 VDC at 1.0 A or 13.75 VDC at 2.0 A and gives a weight of 5.5 lb, approximately 2.5 kg. Exact overall dimensions, connector pin assignment, supported data protocols, cooling limits and database-card requirements should be taken from approved installation data for this exact unit. Installation, databases and functional testing
