The -02 version is not listed with the optional SELCAL/DF output. Other KTR 908 suffixes combine different frequency ranges with 50 kHz selectivity, lower transmitter power or SELCAL/DF capability. Remote radio operation and signal chain

The crew selects the active or standby communication frequency through the compatible cockpit controller. The KTR 908 processes the selected VHF signal, sends received audio to the aircraft audio system and accepts microphone and push-to-talk commands for transmission. Transmitter RF output then travels through the approved coaxial cable to the aircraft VHF antenna. Each stage depends on correct wiring, grounding, circuit protection and antenna-system condition.
