Left-side PFD and right-side MFD arrangement

A typical G500 or G500H signal chain begins with pitot-static, temperature, magnetic and inertial sources. A compatible GDC 74-series air-data computer provides pressure altitude, airspeed, vertical speed and temperature data. A GRS 77 or GRS 77H attitude and heading reference unit processes attitude information with input from a GMU 44 magnetometer and compatible GPS source. ARINC 429, RS-232 and high-speed data interfaces then carry approved information to the GDU 620.

Compatible external navigators can supply position, flight-plan and VOR, localizer or glideslope data. Optional traffic and data-link equipment can add traffic, weather or entertainment information. These associated units are related system components, not part of this GDU delivery and not automatically interchangeable with one another. The exact interfaces, software versions and enabled options must follow the aircraft-specific installation data.
