Application and connections

The TV3-117 engine maintenance manual lists this filter in the low-pressure fuel system, section 073.11.04. Its differential-pressure switch connects to the helicopter warning-light circuit. The PZL M28 service-information list also references spare parts for this filter under letter 1-2010-M28. Installation eligibility must be checked against the current parts catalogue and the specific engine or aircraft configuration; these references do not make every filter arrangement interchangeable.

Operating data for 8D2.966.236

The product passport specifies a nominal filtration rating of 16 µm, a maximum flow capacity of 20 L/min and a working pressure not exceeding 10 kgf/cm². The recorded bypass opening differential is 0.7 kgf/cm². This differential is the pressure drop across the filtering element, not the maximum pressure allowed in the fuel line. The supplied passport records a mass of 1.2 kg. Technical Details below distinguish these passport values from additional engine-manual data.

Filtering element and servicing

The associated 8D2.966.697-09 filter element is a separate catalogue item. The passport permits cleaning and checking the filtering element under Instruction No. 63, revision 4. It specifies plug 8D8.632.203, adapter 600/015-62 and sealing ring 2262A-71-2 as servicing items; they are not an automatically included spare-parts kit. Maintenance is condition-based and carried out within the assigned service life. The passport calls for checks during scheduled maintenance and repair, with cleaning following the applicable maintenance schedule or a contamination warning. Protect the mesh from deformation and the sealing rings from twisting or cutting.

Assigned life and documentation

The passport states an assigned operating life of 18,000 hours within an assigned calendar life of 25 years, subject to the prescribed handling, storage, transportation and operating conditions. These are design-document limits, not a statement of remaining life for any particular serial number. The recorded standard delivery set is one filter and one passport. The serial number, acceptance record, preservation history and operating records must correspond to the unit actually supplied.
