BVC20-6-E2
SUV-29E Digital Computing Unit
Description
BVC20-6-E2 digital computing unit
BVC20-6-E2 is the Latin catalogue designation for the БВЦ20-6-Э2 airborne digital computing unit. A technical description of the MiG-29B onboard equipment places this execution in the SUV-29E weapon-control complex. The unit performs arithmetic and logical processing, stores working and fixed program data and exchanges information with other computers and aircraft systems.

Documented aircraft and system
The БВЦ20-6-Э2 unit is described in the SUV-29E architecture used on the export MiG-29B. It exchanges data with the N019 radar computer, the S-31 computer and other equipment of the weapon-control and aircraft systems. This establishes a documented MiG-29 context; installation still depends on the aircraft modification and the exact SUV-29E configuration.
Processor and memory architecture
The documented block contains an arithmetic and control unit, random-access memory, read-only memory and an input/output section. It uses 16-bit signed binary words with fifteen significant bits and one sign bit; instructions are 16-bit with a nine-bit address. RAM capacity is 512 words of 16 bits and ROM capacity is 16,384 words of 16 bits. The command system uses one-address instructions.
Performance and data exchange
Published execution times are 5 microseconds for addition, 10 microseconds for multiplication or shifting, 100 microseconds for division and 10 microseconds for storage. Rated performance is 200,000 additions, 100,000 multiplications and 10,000 divisions per second. The input/output section provides 32 discrete input bits, 32 discrete output bits, two active serial-output channels and fourteen passive serial-input channels.
Selection, testing and supply
Analogue conversion covers ten angle channels and six DC-voltage channels. Match the complete E2 suffix, connectors, mounting and aircraft documentation; BVC-20-51 is not an automatic substitute. Testing requires the approved SUV-29E procedure. A request should include the aircraft configuration, quantity, condition, passport and delivery set. More units are listed in Electronic Control Units.
