Operating role

Identification and compatibility

Use the full BIN-3-20D / БИН-3-20Д designation when ordering. The additional letter У found in some technical literature may identify an execution or climatic version and must not be added or removed without checking the nameplate. Similar BIN units can have different thresholds, connector assignments or control circuits. Compare the marking, drawing number, connector, mounting and associated voltage-control equipment.

Inspection and supply

Incoming inspection should cover the enclosure, connector contacts, fastening points, seals and legibility of the plate. Functional testing requires the approved circuit and known supply and signal pins; trial energizing by analogy is unsafe. An enquiry should include photographs of all markings, the aircraft or generator system, quantity, condition and required documentation. BIN-3-20D in the BRN-208 regulator

Technical training material places BIN-3-20D inside the BRN-208M7A/M7B generator-voltage regulator used with the GT-40PCh6 aircraft generator. The documented regulator also contains MU1B-62 and MU2B-62 magnetic amplifiers and a three-phase rectifier stage using D237A devices. These names define the verified control-chain context; they are separate components and are not substitutes for BIN-3-20D.
