2459VT automatic temperature-regulator control unit
2459VT converts signals from resistance-temperature receivers into pulsed commands for the electromechanism of an aircraft cabin air-temperature system. Technical documentation describes a measuring bridge, AC amplifier, phase-sensitive pulse stage, voltage stabilizer and DC converter. Depending on bridge imbalance, one output relay energizes the corresponding winding of the actuator until the feedback condition is reached.

Regulation logic and connected equipment
The unit works with a temperature setter, remote resistors and a temperature receiver. The documented system also includes the 4399BT setter, P-9T receiver, 1919T cold-air shutter, 3137 hot-air shutter and a relay-automation block. The output is intentionally pulsed: after a relay releases, the feedback circuit discharges and the control cycle repeats until the measured cabin temperature approaches the selected value. Documented operating data
The setting range is 0–50 °C. Setting error is not more than 0.75 °C at 20 °C and 1.25 °C at the range limits. Two dead-band values, 1.5 and 4 °C, are specified. The pulse-operation zone is 8 °C; feedback charging and discharging time constants are 12 s and 50 s. Supply is 27 V DC with a +2.7 V tolerance, current consumption is not more than 200 mA, and output-relay contact current is not more than 1.8 A.
