Operating principle of UG34/2
Hydraulic pressure acts on a sensing member opposed by a calibrated spring. At the switching threshold the mechanism changes the electrical contacts and provides a discrete signal to the aircraft indication or control circuit. Reliable operation depends on clean working fluid, the moving element, seat, springs and seals. Contamination, reversed connections or an unsuitable pressure can prevent the intended response.

Aircraft hydraulic and wheel-brake monitoring circuits. An-24, An-26 and An-30 maintenance documentation identifies UG34/2 hydraulic switches in the braking hydraulic system. The valve works with pipelines, a pressure source, downstream equipment and the control elements of its circuit.
