Operating principle of UG-162
Outlet pressure acts through the internal feedback element against spring or control force. The regulating member changes its flow area to maintain the required downstream pressure as inlet conditions or demand vary. Reliable operation depends on clean working fluid, the moving element, seat, springs and seals. Contamination, reversed connections or an unsuitable pressure can prevent the intended response.
