Operating principle of GA-198
The calibrated regulating element senses system pressure and opens a relief path when the selected level is reached. Electrical control provides the commanded operating mode, while the mechanical setting determines the pressure range. Reliable operation depends on clean working fluid, the moving element, seat, springs and seals. Contamination, reversed connections or an unsuitable pressure can prevent the intended response.

Aircraft or compatible special-equipment hydraulic systems requiring adjustable pressure protection. Exact aircraft, circuit and electrical logic require the passport and system diagram. The valve works with pipelines, a pressure source, downstream equipment and the control elements of its circuit.
