Operating principle of GA-165
An electrical command energizes the solenoid and moves the pilot element. Hydraulic pressure then shifts the main valve member to connect or isolate the specified circuit; end-position control depends on the exact execution and aircraft wiring. Reliable operation depends on clean working fluid, the moving element, seat, springs and seals. Contamination, reversed connections or an unsuitable pressure can prevent the intended response.
Role in the aircraft system
Aircraft hydraulic systems. Confirmed applications include connecting flight-control actuators or another hydraulic source on Tu-154, Yak-42 and related installations; the exact role follows the aircraft diagram. The valve works with pipelines, a pressure source, downstream equipment and the control elements of its circuit.
