Description
GA-144 Three-position solenoid hydraulic valve
GA-144 is a three-position solenoid hydraulic valve that directs hydraulic fluid to one of two controlled lines or holds the circuit in its neutral state. The unit is an independent functional component of the applicable onboard system. Selection should be based on the complete designation, working medium, setting and installation diagram rather than appearance alone.

Operating principle of GA-144
Two electromagnetic pilot commands move the hydraulic distributor from neutral to either working position. The main element connects pressure and return to the required ports, while the neutral connection depends on the approved GA-144 diagram. Reliable operation depends on clean working fluid, the moving element, seat, springs and seals. Contamination, reversed connections or an unsuitable pressure can prevent the intended response.
Role in the aircraft system
Aircraft hydraulic systems requiring reversible remote control of an actuator. A dedicated technical description identifies GA-144 as a three-position solenoid-operated valve; the exact aircraft and mechanism require its parts catalogue. The valve works with pipelines, a pressure source, downstream equipment and the control elements of its circuit. These products are functionally related but must not be described as interchangeable merely because they operate in the same system.
Installation and maintenance checks
Before installation, verify the nameplate, ports, flow direction, internal cleanliness and seal condition. Working pressure, temperature, fluid and the prescribed functional test must come from the passport and maintenance documentation. Adjustment without approved instructions is not permitted. Incoming-inspection results should remain with the product records.
Identifying GA-144 for ordering
Confirm the exact GA-144 nameplate, both solenoid circuits, port assignment and neutral position. Similar GA-142 and GA-163 three-position valves are separate products. Other related products are listed in the valves category. An enquiry should state the complete designation, execution, condition, delivery set and required supporting documents.
