Operating principle of GA-124
System pressure acts on the calibrated closing member. The valve opens when pressure reaches its setting, passes fluid to the relief line and closes again after pressure falls to the specified reseating level. Reliable operation depends on clean working fluid, the moving element, seat, springs and seals. Contamination, reversed connections or an unsuitable pressure can prevent the intended response.
Role in the aircraft system
Aircraft hydraulic-system overpressure protection. The valve works with the pressure source, return line and protected consumers; exact aircraft applicability is determined by the system documentation. The valve works with pipelines, a pressure source, downstream equipment and the control elements of its circuit. Installation and maintenance checks
