Operating function and protection principle

The primary operating role is thermal release with trip-free action. During normal operation current passes through the breaker contacts to the protected consumer. An unacceptable overload or fault causes the protective mechanism to open the circuit and isolate the affected feeder. Where the family uses trip-free action, restraining the control member in the ON position must not prevent an automatic trip.

The designation AZK3-3 identifies a 3 A execution. The family configuration is described as “Three-pole push-button circuit breaker” for three-phase ac, 200 v line / 115 v phase, 400 hz. Adjustment using data from a different rating is not acceptable. After installation, correct terminal torque and absence of abnormal heating under load must be confirmed.
