KUS-730/1100K combined airspeed indicator
KUS-730/1100K simultaneously displays indicated airspeed and true airspeed. A broad pointer reads the outer indicated-airspeed scale, while a narrow pointer reads the inner true-airspeed scale. Combining the two functions lets the crew compare both values without separate panel instruments.
The confirmed indicated-airspeed range is 50–730 km/h and the true-airspeed range is 400–1100 km/h. These values define the scales of this indicator type; allowable errors and individual corrections must be taken from the passport for the actual serial-numbered unit.

KUS-730/1100 in the pressure system
The instrument connects to total- and static-pressure lines. Indicated airspeed is derived from dynamic pressure, the difference between total and static pressure. The true-airspeed mechanism additionally accounts for the effects of air density and compressibility as altitude changes.
Line condition, connection tightness, absence of moisture and correct pressure-port routing directly affect the reading. After installation, the applicable procedure includes leak testing and comparison at specified test points. Correction data belong to the individual instrument and aircraft.
Application and installation of KUS-730/1100K
KUS-730/1100K is documented in the flight-instrument installation of the Antonov An-32. The K suffix is part of the exact designation; lighting, connections and replacement by the base KUS-730/1100 must be checked against the aircraft documentation.
The indicator is panel mounted. Before installation, inspect the housing, glass, pointers, scales, pressure fittings and mounting flange. Pressure must not be applied outside the approved test procedure, and visually similar KUS instruments must not be assumed interchangeable.
