DA-200 / DA-200K combined flight instrument
DA-200 / DA-200K combines a vertical speed indicator, an electrically driven turn indicator and a liquid slip indicator in one housing. This arrangement lets the crew observe climb or descent rate, turn direction and maneuver coordination at the same panel position. The unit is an indicating instrument and does not replace the primary attitude reference or the complete air-data system.
The variometer section is connected to the static-pressure line. During a change of altitude, the pressure difference between the sensing element and the instrument case is converted into pointer movement. The confirmed scale limit is 200 m/s in climb and descent. Its non-linear graduation provides more readable indication at the lower vertical-speed values.

Turn and slip information from DA-200 / DA-200K
The gyroscopic section shows turn direction. Its scale can be used to assess a coordinated turn up to a 45° bank under the reference condition of 500 km/h, but the pointer must not be read as a universal precision bank-angle instrument. Indication depends on turn rate and on the conditions used for calibration.
The slip indicator uses a ball moving inside a curved glass tube filled with damping liquid. Ball position helps the crew recognize lateral slip and coordinate the maneuver. Reading all three sections together is particularly useful when flight parameters are being monitored on standby instruments.
Cockpit installation and system interfaces
DA-200 and DA-200K are used in aircraft instrument installations that require independent standby indication of vertical speed, turn direction and slip. The aircraft type should not be inferred from the instrument appearance alone. Correct operation depends on an intact static line, power to the gyroscopic section, correct panel orientation and completion of the applicable pre-flight check.
Before installation, maintenance personnel should inspect pointer zero positions, variometer movement, turn-indicator response, free movement of the slip ball, the glass, housing, connector and pressure fitting. Range and accuracy checks must follow the passport for the exact execution and use suitable test equipment.
Identification and ordering of DA-200 / DA-200K
This card retains DA-200 and DA-200K as family designations recorded in the existing product data. The exact execution, illumination, connector and replacement eligibility must be established from the nameplate, passport and aircraft documentation. Specifications from DA-30P or another visually similar combined instrument must not be transferred to this card: a similar functional layout does not establish identical power, mass or metrological data.
