Description
Purpose and application
GU-22A is a high-power generator triode for stationary RF generators and transmitting equipment operating up to 26 MHz. It is intended for circuits with a grounded grid or with neutralisation, where the tube works as an RF oscillator or power amplifier.

Construction
The tube is a water-cooled metal-glass construction with a directly heated cathode. It is designed for vertical working position. The installation must provide separate cooling paths for the anode, base and metal-glass seals.
Operating data
Published operating data give heater voltage of 7.8–8.3 V and current of 140–160 A. Maximum frequency is 26 MHz; maximum anode dissipation is 30 kW and maximum grid dissipation is 600 W. These figures describe the tube class and do not replace the equipment operating chart.
Cooling and selection
The anode requires water flow of at least 50 L/min; the base requires forced air of at least 60 m³/h and the metal-glass seals at least 30 m³/h. Check the socket, cooling system, complete marking and actual condition before selecting an offered unit.
