Description

ITE-2 is an aircraft tachometer indicator designed for remote measurement and indication of aircraft engine shaft rotational speed during flight and ground operation. The rotational speed is displayed as a percentage of the maximum value and is used for monitoring engine operating modes.

The tachometer indicator operates in conjunction with engine speed sensors installed on engine drive units and is part of the aircraft engine instrumentation system. The instrument provides continuous visual control of engine speed parameters required for safe and reliable operation.

ITE-2 is a dual-pointer analog instrument with two independent moving systems, allowing simultaneous indication of two shafts or two engines. The instrument is designed for operation in aviation environments and meets the requirements specified in the manufacturer’s technical documentation.

The operating principle of the instrument is based on the interaction between the magnetic field of a permanent magnet and the magnetic field of eddy currents generated in the sensitive element of the indicator, ensuring stable and accurate indication.

The ITE-2K modification is equipped with red dial backlighting, intended for aircraft cockpits with red night lighting and improved readability under low-light conditions.

Alternate Designations:
ITE-2 may also be referenced in technical documentation and spare parts catalogs as ITE-2K. All listed designations refer to the same tachometer indicator type, with “K” indicating red backlighting.
