Airspeed Indicator
Available on back-order
The KUS-730/1100k Airspeed Indicator is a combined mechanical flight instrument designed to measure both indicated airspeed and true airspeed of an aircraft. The instrument provides indicated airspeed in the range from 50 to 730 km/h and true airspeed from 400 to 1100 km/h, allowing accurate monitoring of aircraft speed under various flight regimes and altitude conditions.
The operating principle of the KUS-730/1100k is based on the measurement of the velocity head (dynamic pressure) of the oncoming airflow with automatic correction for air density and compressibility as altitude increases. On the rear side of the instrument корпус are two pressure fittings: the dynamic port marked “D”, connected to the total pressure chamber of the VDP-7 receiver, and the static port marked “C”, connected to the static chamber of the PVD-7 receiver. Working as part of the pitot-static system, the instrument ensures stable and reliable airspeed indication during takeoff, climb, cruise, and landing. Its fully mechanical design guarantees dependable operation under vibration and varying pressure conditions typical for aviation service.
