Description

UA28A-13 Aircraft Inertial Sensor

The UA28A-13 is an aircraft inertial sensor designed to detect wheel slip during aircraft braking. The sensor is part of the aircraft anti-skid braking system and generates an electrical signal when wheel rotation decelerates rapidly, indicating the onset of skid conditions.

UA28A-13 Sensor in Aircraft Anti-Skid Systems

The UA28A-13 operates within aircraft landing gear braking systems and is installed in the wheel hub assembly. The sensor monitors wheel rotational dynamics and sends signals to the braking control system to prevent wheel lock during landing or ground braking operations.

UA28A-13 Operating Principle and Design

The UA28A-13 inertial sensor operates using a mechanical flywheel mechanism installed inside the sensor housing. When the wheel suddenly decelerates due to skid conditions, the inertial flywheel rotates relative to the sensor body and activates an internal microswitch, sending a control signal to the electrohydraulic brake release valve.

UA28A-13 Aircraft Applications

The UA28A-13 sensor is used on aircraft landing gear systems including aircraft such as An-24, An-26 and L-410. In typical configurations the UA28A-13 sensor is installed on the left landing gear wheel, while the corresponding UA28A-14 sensor is used on the right wheel.

Alternative designations: UA28A-13, УА28А-13 — refer to the same product type.
